چکیده
Two-dimensional (2D) ternary chalcogenides have attracted great attentions because of their novel chemical and physical properties arising from the synergistic effect stoichiometric variation with additional third element compared binary counterparts. Here, high-quality 2D tantalum nickel selenide (Ta2NiSe5) nanosheets are successfully fabricated by a liquid-phase exfoliation (LPE) method. The ultrafast excited carrier relaxation time nonlinear optical absorption response investigated reveal that prepared Ta2NiSe5 excellent broadband saturable properties, which further illustrated three passively Q-switched (PQS) all-solid-state lasers operating at 1.0, 2.0 2.8 µm nanosheet-based absorber (SA). Furthermore, mode-locked laser operation pulse width as short 356 fs is also realized 1.0 µm. This work not only demonstrates proprieties modulation performance Ta2NiSe5, but paves way for exploring photonic optoelectronic chalcogenide materials.

Passively mode-locked fiber laser by a cell-type WS2 nanosheets saturable absorber
A cell-type saturable absorber has been demonstrated by filling the single mode photonic crystal fiber (SMPCF) with tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanosheets. The modulation depth, saturable intensity, and non-saturable loss of this SA are measured to be 3.53%, 159 MW/cm(2) and 23.2%, respectively. Based on this SA, a passively mode-locked EDF laser has been achieved with pulse duration of 808 fs and...

We demonstrate femtosecond performance of an ultrabroadband high-index-contrast saturable Bragg reflector consisting of a silicon/silicon dioxide/germanium structure that is fully compatible with CMOS processing. This device offers a reflectivity bandwidth of over 700 nm and subpicosecond recovery time of the saturable loss. It is used to achieve mode locking of an Er-Yb:glass laser centered at...
متن کاملContinuous-wave versus pulse regime in a passively mode-locked laser with a fast saturable absorber
The phenomenon of modulation instability of continuous-wave (cw) solutions of the cubic–quintic complex Ginzburg–Landau equation is studied. It is shown that low-amplitude cw solutions are always unstable. For higher-amplitude cw solutions, there are regions of stability and regions where the cw solutions are modulationally unstable. It is found that there is an indirect relation between the st...

Black phosphorus (BP) has recently been rediscovered as a new and interesting two-dimensional material due to its unique electronic and optical properties. Here, we study the linear and nonlinear optical properties of BP flakes. We observe that both the linear and nonlinear optical properties are anisotropic and can be tuned by the film thickness in BP, completely different from other typical t...
